Tuesday the Patriots boys’ soccer team went on the road to take on a very talented Blackhawk Christain Team.
The Patriots were anxious early as they watched the girls lose to Blackhawk 5-0.
As the game began things didn’t look great for Heritage as Blackhawk put one in the net at around the 10 minute mark. They kept the pressure on scoring another goal minutes later.
The score stayed in Blackhawk’s favor as halftime began.
The patriots showed fight throughout the game and made a game of it as Lucas Scheumann (11) scored a penalty kick to make the score 2-1.
The patriots bench exploded and gave the patriots a quick burst of energy and multiple opportunities but Blackhawk put the dagger in the patriots’ heart with eight minutes to go to make the score 3-1. Blackhawk scored a header off a corner to kill off the patriots hopes of tying the talented team.
The patriots record went to 2-2.
