The Patriots took on the Canterbury Cavaliers on Tuesday night. Coming in to the game, Canterbury was ranked second in the 2A coaches poll. The game started off hot with both teams knocking down nearly every shot in the first quarter. The Cavs won the battle in the first quarter with the score being 23-15. In the second quarter, the Patriots got hot. The score at halftime was 41-38 in Canterbury’s favor.
The second half was a barn burner. Each team just matched what the other did. There was an array of three point shots made in the game. Heritage scored 30 points from beyond the arc. Almost every shot that the Patriots made was matched by the Cavaliers. The score in the end was 87-82 in Canterbuy’s favor. Heritage put up a great fight in the end but there just wasn’t enough time on the clock.
The Patriots were lead by Tattenai Hall(12) who ended with 31 points and 16 rebounds. Kendall Knapke(12) nearly had a triple double. She ended with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists. Lauren Wherry(12) also added 10 points and 7 rebounds.
The Lady Patriots take on the Leo Lions for the last time in conference play on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at home. Everyone come out and support the Patriots against the Lions for the last time!
