Girls Middle School Soccer, Girls Varsity Soccer · Girls Soccer Loses Two

The Girls soccer team continued their season last week with two hard fought losses. The first of which was a loss to the Wayne Generals on Sept. 9. The girls fought hard, keeping the game close throughout, and made the game extremely interesting when Renee Hare scored to make it a two goal game. The Patriots came away with a multitude of chances but could not convert as time slipped away. A major contributor was goaltender Bria Muldoon who was a rock in net.

The girls’ second game was away against the North Side Redskins. The team again fought a tough game. It was kept close by another solid performance by Bria Muldoon who had a plethora of saves throughout. Alison Straham said of the week’s performances, “We played well even though we didn’t win. The second game was closer than the score [indicated]. Of course I would have liked to win.” The girls will be on the road on Monday, Sept. 14, against the South Adams Starfires for a huge conference showdown.
