Multiple Teams · Pats Win and Prepare for Woodlan

The Heritage football team stands with a record of 1-1, as it prepares for tonight’s matchup at Woodlan.

Last week, the team defeated Norwell, taking home their first win of the young season, 27-13. The Patriots shut out the Knights in the first half, and after a long lightning delay, the Patriots remained strong and took home the win.

Offensive leaders for the Patriots in the Norwell game were Jeshua Foster, who ran 32 times for 254 yards. He scored two Heritage touchdowns. Also, Walter Knapke had 65 passing yards, and Blake Rhymer brought in 22 receiving yards. The big man, Destin Johnson found the end zone with a huge 18 yard touchdown. On the defensive side, Evan Knapke had 7 tackles and 2 tackles for a loss. John Mcneal had 5 tackles and 1 tackle for loss, and Nick Bosler had 4 tackles.

With this positive momentum, the team prepares for its battle tonight with Woodlan. Coach Tigulis said, “Our key to the game tonight is to maintain possession of the ball on offense, and to play sound defense against Woodlan’s multiple formation offense. Alignment, Assignment, and Communication will dictate our success.”
