Multiple Teams · Boys Soccer Captures ACAC Title!

On Monday evening, Sept. 26, the Boys Soccer team hosted Woodlan High School. As the team celebrated Senior Night, with the game being their second to last home game of the season, they also celebrated a 1-0 victory and, even more, their second straight ACAC championship after the win.

Oh Mae scored the only needed goal for the Patriots, with a second half penalty kick. He said he felt “very good” to make this happen. As he charged with the ball toward the net near the beginning of the second half, he was illegally fouled by a Warrior defender, thus setting him up for the decisive score. He shot the ball left, with the goalie wrongly guessing and diving to Oh Mae’s right, and the kick found the back of the net.

Jordan Melcher was solid in the Patriots’ goal, with two saves, earning him his fourth shutout of the season. The boys showed outstanding teamwork in this great win.

The Patriots will play Central Noble on Wednesday at 5:30. The game is at Central Noble. Come support our Heritage Patriots in the second to last game before the sectional tournament begins.
