The Heritage boys basketball team will be heading into sectional play on Tuesday evening, Feb. 28, with a record of 11-10. They will be facing off against the Mississinewa Indians at 6 p.m. at Bellmont High School.
In a season that has seemed to signal an upswing for the basketball program, the Patriots are looking to add a sectional title to go along with their conference championship.
When asked about the upcoming sectional matchup, senior Rylie Schane said, “We have worked too hard all season to let it end now. We will have to control the speed of the game, take smart shots, and play Patriot defense.” Fellow seniors Malcolm Smith and Ryan Sprague (who will be sidelined due to injury) are also in the stretch runs of their final seasons. The boys plan on leaving it all on the court in hopes of another day on the court together.
