The Heritage Cross Country team continued their storybook season on Saturday, as they traveled to the Wabash area for the Northfield Invitational.
Building on their strong 3rd place showing earlier in the week at the Bellmont Invitational, their first competition of the season, the boys team reigned supreme at the 11 team Northfield Invitational. Their record now stands at 16-2. Finishing in the top twenty were Andy Kohrman, Jack Beauchot, Devin Schmenk, Jacob Anderson, and Derek Schaadt.
The girls team had an amazing day also, finishing in second place by a small margin of four points. Their record now stands at 17-1. Leading the girls by finishing in the top twenty were Lilly Biggins, Katie Graham, and Katelyn Sebring. Multiple personal records were scored at this meet, including Calvin Dornseif and Sam Hetler.
Great job cross country teams! They are back in action Saturday, Sept. 2, at the Marion Invitational.
